This is not your old batch-processing tool!

Continuous querying (or sliding window queries) means to re-execute queries after each and every record is received from the stream. For example, if a stream ships 50k records per second, RioDB executes your query 50k times per second. RioDB does not take a break letting a million records go by before re-executing your query (which leads to a precision problem).
RioDB doesn't require a super-computer to achieve this incredible performance. A typical VM is usually all it needs.

Precision

Suppose you need to detect an exceeded threshhold, or a spike of a certain shape, or a change in an oscillating pattern...

WITH BATCH-PROCESSING: When the stream produces the exact pattern that you intend to detect, the pattern can be cut-off with parts landing in different batches, which means that the pattern you were hoping to find can go completely undetected in batch-processing. Ouch.
WITH CONTINUOUS QUERYING: RioDB examines the data stream continuously (sliding windows), which means that each and every time a message is received from a stream, queries are executed again, leaving no chance of missing the pattern you're looking for.

Use simple SQL-like statements to define stream listeners, parsing logic, sliding windows, queries, and output triggers.
